Bernie loves playing in the snow. He runs, jumps, rolls, and slides across the frozen lake. But there's just one problem... playing alone isn't nearly as much fun.
Living all by himself in a cozy mountain cave, Bernie dreams of finding a friend. So he sets off through the snowy forest, following animal tracks in hopes of meeting someone to play with. But the other animals are too busy, too grumpy, or simply not interested.
Just when Bernie begins to think he'll always be alone, he discovers a mysterious set of footprints in the snow. They're unlike anything he's seen before, and they might just lead to something wonderful!
Will Bernie finally find the friend he's been searching for?
Based on an (almost) true story!
I am beyond excited to share my very first children’s story with kiddos all around the world! This is a project I have been dreaming of taking on for quite some time, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
The Mountain Dog is a story inspired by my dogs (of course!) and the warmth and joy that come with finding a true friend. My hope is that this story brings smiles to little faces and reminds kids to never stop searching for friendship. After all, sometimes the best friends come along when you least expect them!
